Dilated facial blood vessels (“telangiectasia” or “broken capillaries”) may be related to chronic sun or wind damage.
They respond to the same treatments as other broken blood vessels such as cherry angiomas.
Depending on how many vessels and how large, 2-6 electrocautery or laser (e.g. Excel-V) treatment sessions are typically required to reduce or clear these blood vessels.
