Did you know that in 2003, our very own Dr. Benjamin Barankin launched Dermanities (www.dermanities.com), an online journal dedicated to the Humanities as they relate to Dermatology. This journal publishes physician and patient articles such as: poetry, humour, photography, short stories, art, history of medicine/dermatology, the patient-physician interaction, and more.
The July 2011 issue of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology reports increased skin cancers on the left side of the body, particularly the left arm, most likely as a result of automobile driving.
