An interesting new study published in the prestigious British Medical Journal found that tanning bed users face a 20% increased risk of skin cancer, and that the risk reaches 87% if they start before age 35. The study also found that 5% of melanomas (a potentially lethal skin cancer) are attributed to tanning bed use.
