Dr. Barankin presented a talk to 10 family physicians in Toronto on What’s New in Dermatology. He spoke about medical topics such as atopic dermatitis (eczema), rosacea, acne, psoriasis, melanoma, basal cell skin cancer, and actinic keratoses (pre-cancers). He also reviewed what is new in Botox, fillers (e.g. juvederm, restylane, perlane, radiesse), lasers, and more.
The anti-wrinkle drug Botox is now being studied in Australia to treat hay fever and reduce sneezing, itching and runny noses. Yet another potential use of this amazing drug (also used for: migraines, cerebral palsy, spasticity, club foot, bladder dysfunction, hyperhidrosis, Raynaud disease etc).
