Dr. Yang is an experienced, board-certified dermatologist who enjoys treating both children and adults at the Toronto Dermatology Centre. She offers both medical and cosmetic services.
Dr. Yang received her Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree in biomedical engineering with a concentration in biotechnology from University of Michigan, where she graduated magna cum laude. She then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for her medical training, where she was awarded the Bernhard A. Goldmann Prize for Dermatology. During this time, she also devoted a year to basic science research as part of the Physician Scientist Training Program, resulting in several oral and poster presentations as well as publications in medical journals. Upon receiving her medical degree, she spent a year at University of Illinois at Chicago for an internship in internal medicine. After this, she went on to complete her dermatology residency at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Prior to joining TDC, Dr. Yang was a dermatologist in Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts. She was also a major contributor to the teledermatology initiative there, which was nominated for the Atrius Health Clinical Innovation Team Award. While in Boston, she was also a lecturer at Harvard Medical School, where she taught both medical students and residents. She is currently a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Her other passion was to serve as a volunteer with Health Volunteer Overseas, and aided in the training of future dermatologists in the first and only residency program established in Cambodia.
Dr. Yang is a member of the Canadian Dermatology Association and the American Academy of Dermatology.
