Poonam Rajan MD, DABD, FRCPC

Dr. Rajan completed her Bachelor of Science Honours in Life Sciences at Queen’s University, graduating with honours and distinction. She subsequently went onto medical school at the University of Toronto graduating with an Honours standing. She continued her training in Dermatology at the University of British Columbia. In addition to her Canadian training, she sought out additional dermatology education, on scholarship, at the University of California in Los Angeles, and at the world-renowned St. John’s Institute of Dermatology in London, England. She was awarded her fellowship in Dermatology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and was also awarded her Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology.

Dr. Rajan is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a certified member of the American Board of Dermatology. She is a member of the Ontario Medical Association, The Dermatology Review Club, American Academy of Dermatology, Toronto Western Hospital Journal Club and Toronto Dermatologic Society.

Dr. Rajan is a sought-after media spokesperson and is frequently an invited guest speaker at various continuing medical education events for her colleagues both in general medical practice and dermatology.

Active in teaching and research, she has been teaching Dermatology and Family Medicine residents from the University of Toronto and other Universities from across Canada. She has presented nationally and internationally at multiple medical conferences. She is published in peer reviewed journals in Dermatology, Family Medicine and online.

Dr. Rajan combines expertise in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. She is dedicated to providing excellent dermatologic care and takes a collaborative approach with each patient to personalize their aesthetic treatment plan. She is renowned for combining injectables (neuromodulators such as Botox^® Cosmetic and soft tissue fillers such as Juvederm^® ), chemical peels, and multiple laser therapies to provide effective, natural-looking cosmetic results.
