Keratosis pilaris is a stubborn condition affecting about 40% of Canadians. It is considered a mild hereditary form of eczema, and most commonly shows up as rough pink bumps on the side of the arms, and occasionally on the side of the thighs or cheeks. While there is no cure for this condition, it does tend to get better with age and in the summer time when it is more humid.
We’ve just brought in a terrific cream called Alyria Resurfacing Body Care which won Editor’s favorite product in Allure magazine. It offers a slow-release high-concentration of glycolic acid among other helpful ingredients to soften and smoothen keratosis pilaris. Its also terrific for rough elbows, knees, and heels.
