We as physicians have generally felt that diet does not have a great impact on the development of acne. That said, if certain foods seem to make your acne worse, try to avoid or minimize them. See if you can create a diary to track if certain foods consistently make your acne worse.
Increasingly there are reports that milk/dairy may aggravate acne (see: http://www.acnemilk.com/) and low glycemic diets (less white sugar, pasta, rice) appear to be helpful for some patients.
