Study shows the relationship between the eating habits of teens and acne

A recent study published in the Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology involving over 2200 teens found that adolescents who consumed excess fat, sugar, processed meats and refined carbohydrates (e.g. pastries & cakes) were about 30% more likely to develop acne as compared to those who had healthier diets. Interestingly, only 12% of adolescents surveyed in the study had ever consulted a doctor for their acne.
