Psoriasis affects the eyes!

An interesting article in the December 2011 issue of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology found a considerable number of patients with psoriasis having complications affecting the eyes, such as: blepharitis, conjunctivitis, and uveitis. Periodic eye examinations for psoriasis patients who have eye (“ocular”) symptoms should be considered. Systemic therapy of psoriasis may improve eye problems associated with psoriasis.
