According to a recent study published in the journal Dermatology, “premature skin aging before the age of 55 years is largely due to high sun exposure and heavy smoking, with male gender and fair skin also increasing the risk.”
Researchers arrived at these conclusions after conducting “a cross-sectional study of 1400 local, randomly selected residents who were aged between 20 and 54 years (mean age 37 years).” Yet another reason to quit smoking & protect yourself from the sun!
