New research shows that the desire to boost self-confidence is as important as tightening sagging skin among women seeking esthetic treatments.

Aging-process-varies-among-peopleA study (The Changing Face of Beauty: A Global Report) of 8,000 women across 16 countries showed 74% of women make the effort to look good mainly for themselves, with partners (37%) and friends (15%) having less an influence. General “beautification” (63%) is a bigger motivator than addressing the signs of aging (50%). When defining outer beauty, skin quality and complexion (56%) are as important to women as their body shape (56%). 65% of women agree that facial fillers are more socially acceptable than they were 5 years ago. The area of the face most women are interested in enhancing is under their eyes, with 66% specifically concerned about bags under their eyes.
