Psoriasis patients should keep in mind that if what appears to be a psoriasis lesion is not responding to your psoriasis treatment which is working well elsewhere, that it can mean one of two things. Firstly, that this is a stubborn area of psoriasis that may need a more aggressive local treatment. Or, secondly, that this in fact is not a lesion of psoriasis, but rather a pre-cancer, skin cancer, a fungal infection, or even something else. So, if a psoriatic lesion is “acting unusual,” make sure to show your dermatologist sooner rather than later.
