Latisse is the first and only FDA-approved prescription treatment to create longer, thicker and darker lashes!
Latisse™ (bimatoprost) is a topical prescription product from Allergan (the makers of Botox® and Juvederm®), and is the first and only scientifically proven product approved by the FDA to stimulate eyelashes to grow longer and thicker. It has been used as a glaucoma medication for years, and was inadvertently found to stimulate eyelash growth.
Latisse™ is applied daily until you’re happy with the length of your eyelashes, and can then often be maintained at that desired length with 2-3 applications per week.
Side effects appear to be limited to temporary redness of the eye or eyelids, and rarely a darkening of the skin under the eyes or the irises.
Latisse is a prescription medicine and only available through cosmetic physician offices, not pharmacies. This product launches in Canada on November 15, 2010 and will be sold at the Toronto Dermatology Centre.
Expected price will be $150/bottle which typically lasts a month with daily application.
