In the Summer 2013 issue of the inaugural My Skin put out by the Canadian Dermatology Association, Dr. Benjamin Barankin is quoted in “The lowdown on photoaging.” Dr. Barankin discusses several key ingredients in treating photoaging including retinol, vitamin C, glycolic acid, tretinoin, and peptides like matrixyl. He discusses how these creams work to improve the skin, as well as the different light and laser-based devices, and medical grade chemical peels and microdermabrasion. Dr. Barankin also highlights the importance of good sun protection and sunscreen use to minimize photoaging.
